I'm having a new driver's side door cert label made for my '72 'Vette(build 6/72). The original label is long gone, so I'm missing the weight info. Anyone know what the weight (gross/front/rear) numbers are for:
'72 coupe, 350 L48, A/C, 4-spd.?

Sorry, I don't know the weight of your particular car but I wasn't aware that the cert label contained that information. The cert label on my driver's door has the build month/year and the VIN. Here's a picture:
Hi 7T2,
I can only find the curb weight for the coupe... 3220 lbs. I don't see a weight with various options or a front/rear breakdown. I realize you do need it for 72 starting with January built cars. Sorry!

Alan
Hi RH,
Nice Picture!
It's interesting that it appears (compared to RV's) that the weight did vary. I wonder if it's just the difference between coupe/convertible or was it equipment too?
Thanks for taking the time to post your sticker.
Regards,
Alan
You would figure a convertible would be less. You learn something new everyday! So the answer to the original question posted is... every car was different depending on equipment so use an average I guess.
To everyone concerned, I just checked over at the NCRS technical board and Bryan who has the same car as I do but with A/C posted that his GVWR is 4010 with the front being 1890 and the rear being 2120. Thats 80 more in the front and 20 more in the back than mine for a total of 100 lbs for having the A/C option.
Hope this helps
Regards
Roy
Don't mean to jump your post, but I am doing a 73 coupe, 454, auto with power everything and A/C, anyone got a pic, so I can match the numbers, for my new sticker, thanks.
