Windshield washer nozzle location
Can any one send me photos of how the factory windshield washer nozzles are mounted to the wiper arms? I have the hoses & the washer jug but for some reason the nozzles and the hardware are missing. Thanks!!!

That's not uncommon. 68-73s don't have nozzles though. There's a brass tube that's attached to each wiper arm and the fluid is sprayed directly out of the end of the tube. The tubes were held to the arms with plastic clips. With age and handling, the clips break and the tubes fall off. The right tube is held on by 4 clips, the left one by 3. The brass tubes and plastic clips are repro-ed and available from most Corvette vendors.
74 and later arms have a plastic nozzle on the arm, near were the blade attaches to the arm. Later arms replaced the brass tube with a rubber hose that runs through part of the arm and attaches to the nozzle.

Is that rivets holding them on? Those brackets are still on my wiper arms but the nozzles are missing. I bought the repros from ecklers but they just have the brakets made to them and came with no hardware.

I think you can buy the tubes and for sure the plastic clips that attach them to the wiper arm (make sure your sitting down when you price the clips.)
I have "created" tubes before by soldering 1/8+3/16 copper tubing together to create a nipple, crush the end and carefully drill the water jet opening. The tubes are soldered onto the metal tabs by the wiper blade, it is very common for them to seperate from the wiper arm.

Hi Mick,
Yes, the tubing is riveted to the wiper arm.
The picture of the nozzles that Mike post from a 68 are a bit different. I believe they screwed to the underside of the wiper grill and didn't move with the arms the way 69+ do.
Good Luck!

Need new pictures
I found this thread and it is exactly the information I need. I am installing the brass tubes on my 73 coupe, but either the posts are to old or my laptop won't let me open the pictures. So if anyone has some pictures or drawings that can show me the correct location and position of the brass tubes and clips can you please help me out?
Also FYI-I noticed in the thread they were discussing the change from the brass to the plastic tubes and actually Chevrolet made the change in mid-year around Oct-Nov of 73. So 73 can have either tubes depending on your production date. Info just incase you are at a show and you get clipped for having the wrong tubes. you can find the reference in the Prince Motorbooks 68-82 Restoration guide 2nd edition. Thank you.
