QuadraJet Identification help

Picked up this QJet. I was told it was from a Vette. Numbers 17058203and 1818 BHS. Does anyone know?

17058203 is off of a 1978 Vette, Federal emissions, with or without A/C and with 4-speed. That particular carb has been commercially rebuilt, so it's bound to have a ton of problems - be sure to e-mail me for my "Commercially Rebuilt Q-Jet Problems" paper - that carb will need a bit of work.

Can anyone give me a refernce on Shean Murphy (SMI Induction) remanufactured quardrajets? I ahve seen many, many positive comments about his products but wondered if anyone had anything to add.
