Toggle Switch function?
Previous owner installed this toggle switch on the console of our '73 and for the life of us we can't figure out what it's function might be. Anyone have any ideas?
I've posted a picture, you will see this toggle switch above the cross flags.

That's the "it's time to go fishing" switch..
Only way is to start ripping the console apart and tracking wires. "fishing" for what it does. Or go east on US 54 or west on MO 7-- you pick..

Tim, aparently you know your way around in the Camdenton area. Do you come to Camdenton often?
I see you live in Gladstone, Mo. I used to live in KC, MO right next to Gladstone.

Do your wipers work?
Damn shame they picked the shifter plate to mount the toggle switch, most I've seen were mounted under the steering column

I found two switches on mine. One was an override for the automatic lockup TC. The other was a manual switch for two electrical fans that had been installed.
Of course, if could be a kill switch, but I'd assume you'd have found out by now. Flip it and see if the car starts.

I agree with TimAT, you will have to try and trace where the wires go and find what it is connected to.

I agree you'll have to trace the wires , but before you do try flipping the switch and operating the windows with the ign key off , I had a car come in once that did this.

It's the BUBBA over-ride switch!
It un-does all the bad things that may have been done to the car over the years.

It's obviously the "secret" ignition kill switch to deter would-be thieves.
