When I turn on the wipers the door opens, wipers go up and stop. If I open door and turn on bypass first then turn on wipers thay work fine. Any help would be great.
Hi,
My understanding is that the switch interrupts the current to the wiper motor.
When you turn the switch the wipers stop if they're moving or remain parked if they're parked. Only two possibilities... on or off.
When you turn the switch counter clockwise the wipers should stop immediately.
Regards,
Alan
Just to be clear... The wipers are supposed to stop immediately when you turn the 'shut-off' switch. How else would you be able to change wiper blades?

I was using the shut-off to turn the wiper off in the down spot to close the door. Now with the motor arm connected right, everything works right.
