Default The makeover has started!

I am in the process of making my 75 Stingray vert match my signature. It is also loosing it's scoop, roll bar, and other assorted goofy items.

I ordered an L88 hood with the complete cowl induction system, 78 Pace Car front spoiler, and a used rear deck lid to get rid of the roll bar. I'm keeping the 80 rear Truflex bumper.

The steering and suspension will be completely rebuilt and have poly, smart struts with heim ends, 550 front springs, 360 glass rear, spreader bar, Steeroids rack and pinion, aftermarket sway bars (I have more than one size to tune it), Bilstein shocks (I have both HD and Sport), and 265/40/18 front F1 tires and 285/40/18 F1 rear.

All the parts in my signature come from my 80 that was totaled from the deer incident, except the 4.11 rear and the nitrous, which were in the 75.

I also have to try and make it look better under the hood. The previous owner painted everything, and I mean everything, black.

Lot's to do this winter. Should look good and be fun in the spring!

It won't look like the photo anymore.

Won't take much to make that one look As you already know and have been briefed on, the scoop says "Bubba" from a mile away, especially when it points in an upward direction.

I know you'll do up proud

Wayne,

What rocker ratio are you running? How do you get .640 lift out of a XR286R? I have one on the shelf I don't have a use for. I asked you in another thread, but it died before you got back on it.

Hi v,
In most cases getting rid of 'goofy' is a good thing! Pictures to follow, right?
Regards,
Alan

I was just thinking, something else that might look good in combination with the '80 Truflex rear bumper and PC front dam is the '80 style retro front bumper as seen below...

FWIW, I'd lower it too, but you've got a nice starting point from which to work in any event. Post up.

I like it. It looks very nice except for that scoop, come up with a nice idea for the hood, good luck on the upgrades and keep us posted.

I thought about the 80's front bumper style, but I have to keep some kind of budget for now. I am going to lower it and I will post photos.

Whats the deal with the rollbar? How does it mount to the frame? Any pics? Are you selling the rollbar and decklid to recoup costs?

The deal with the roll bar is it is fake. It fastens to the deck lid. I would sell them together. I have to make sure I get the deck lid I bought today first.

The intake is .385 lobe lift 1.65 ratio gives you .635 lift 1.7 gives .653 gross for about 640 net after lash

That was my conclusion too, but I was just wondering if he was really running 1.7 rockers.

Oh ok. Was hoping it would mount to the frame to stiffen things up back there. Maybe someone on here would be interested in the cosmetic setup.
