Fog

Hello Fellow Vetteheads,
Just fired up the VETTE for the first time this winter...getting itchy.. and what to my surprise was a foggy like mist coming from the heater vents, it eventually subsided, weird. Has anyone have an idea what happened?

Was it a cloudy day? If not, then probably just moisture and ice buildup. At least that's what Tom Skillings weather page says.

Heater core is beginning to leak or (if the car is outside) there is a windshield leak that is finding its way into that area.

Other possibility, do you have A/C and was the compressor turned on and was it a cold day? Have seen evaporator cores ice up and then when they melt you get fog for a few minutes coming out of the vents.
