Thats great! I am glad to see you run so well on the first time out, nothing makes you fell better than a car you built run good! I am also glad to see you have a stick, it gives me rassurance that someone else is doing it like me the only problem is I need the reae end you got in a bad way.....the last time I was out at the track I could only muster a 12.1 @119 spinning past the tree....the next run I dropped the air pressure in the tires and tried to leave at 3k as soon as I let the clutch out I left pieces on the track maybe someday I can swing the cost for a rear up grade unfortunately for now I cant race cause I have actually broke the rear 4 times...2 spindles, half shafts and a drive flange

Congrats again, get some fuel to that thing and you'll pick up some more

get the fuel delivery up to snuff, as hotrod427 suggests, boost does funny things when run too lean
i bet a set of 411's would make for more fun, but that's another story

congrat's on the #'s!.....

Great run Now i can get you closer to 10s if you would just add a 100 shot of dry nos. Ive been running it for a while now,no problems. we both run the same blowers , and close to the same setup.I didnt know you was Garys son, thats awesome. Bill

Great Job! I love reading about people's track experiances. You should not need boost reference since your carb is a drawthrough set up.

Great run, especially with a stick. Looks like you can pick up time on the tree..

You would not have been disappointed with a Hayes aluminum 15lb flywheel. Better throttle response. To late now though. Awsome car. Enjoyed the pics.

I ordered the Centerforce dual friction 11" clutch and a Billet steel 30lb flywheel. Parts should be in tuesday and I'll install them tuesday night or wednesday. I'm going to try and drive it as much as possible for 4-5 days with new clutch and try and break it in. Then i'm make decision to go racing if everything goes correctly.
Your dad is a super guy and did wonders rebuilding my OEM steering box making it better than when it was brand new! I live in RI and drove down for the box rebuild and he spent 2 hours with me and another hour with me when I picked it up the following week. He does superb work! Very lucky to have him to build the rear end!

I was actually thinking of getting a Nitrous oxide plate kit and doing a 75-100hp. But i have to do my fuel system over first. I'm going to do a fuel cell with sump, Aeromotive electric pump, and 8an or 10an to feed. I dont care if fuel system will be overkill for my little motor and mini blower because I want to be set up for bigger power in the future.

thats crazy, sounds like it was a pretty interesting pass down the track. Good thing you didnt get hurt or total the car.

A guy with a brand new 2011 5.0 mustang was at the track last week and hit the wall. He never raced before and drove around the water box but drove of a pile of leaves and they got stuck on his rear tires. He launched the car and it came around into other lane and smacked the wall!!

Glad you liked the steering box, my dad definitely has a passion for what he does. I'm really lucky to have him and
if he built motors and transmission too...I'd probably have an 8-9sec car by now.
