The carb you have is intended for a 4-speed/manual transmission; it does not have a vacuum outlet on the rear of the baseplate. The corresponding carb for the auto tranny is 7040204, which does have that fitting.
The simplest solution is to drill and tap the baseplate on the carb you now have to create the configuration you want. Or, perhaps the value of the undamaged 7040205 is enough to justify leaving it alone and selling it to someone who really needs that particular carb. Those who deal in that kind of thing could advise you on that one.
