I'm with Mike. I'll be getting a good in the near future and it will most likely be an L88. I do like the stinger hood, but I like the L88 hood more for some reason.
I think it looks . I can't remeber his name, but there's a guy on here with one...has a ZZ4 and lives in CA. Also has Torque Thrust wheels...red with black stinger very  looking car
I went with the standard BBlock/LT1 hood on mine, but I really like that stinger hood too. I Like the L88 hood too, but I would kinda feel funny about putting it on my SB car...I'd have to get a BBlock with that hood :D
He goes by the username BBBob, I believe.
Lives in Northern California. I talk to him quite a lot...nice guy.
He's also got a nice looking black C4.
I like the Stinger hood a lot too. I never cared much for the L88 hood personally, but I know I'm in the minority. I'll be doing a Stinger hood conversion on my Corvette too.
The hood Bob has eliminates the wiper door. Not a bad idea, being how troublesome they are. They rarely seem to work as designed. I did get mine to work, but it is extremely troublesome.
Love that hood, want one BAD! Who cars if you got a big block or not, build a small black that sounds and runs like a big block and nobody needs to know! :yesnod:
Sure why not?
It's just fiberglass. Before painting your stinger hood, just cut out the ram air. You could even still keep your cowl induction, and have a baffle glassed inside the ram air to blast cool air down over your carb and intake. That's what I'm planning to do.

I'm with you on that one. The L88 is just too tall for me. Doesnt' quiet look right IMHO, though I have seen some that I think look good.
Pretty sure my vette will be getting a Stinger hood someday before I get around to painting it.
I am not sure but I thought that you could buy the stinger hood attachment and glass it onto the regular sb. hood. That might be an option for some of you instead of buying an additional complete hood.
The Hood from Ecklers does not have the heat padding like a stock one, so it will give you about 1 to 2 extra inches of hood clearance. Maybe 3 or a bit more if you can find an air cleaner that will fit the channel of the hood.
