I'm glad to see Lars back on the forum!!! He has a wealth of knowledge that comes in handy all the time. Great to hear your up and about. By the way, your shop looks great! Nice bar, is there any dancing? LOL
Lars stopped by to visit and return some borrowed stuff this morning. I think he just needed a reason to get out of the house. He was driving his newly restored black '64 roadster. I could hear his Hooker supercomps coming from quite a distance.
Good to see him out and about.
Ralph.
Here's a pic that Lars sent me of his '64... Awesome looking ride, isn't it...
Good luck Lars! We're a day ahead of you here in New Zealand, so I'll let you know if your operation goes well! And thanks for passing on your awesome wealth of knowlege.
Grant
I missed this thread when it was started feb 20. Great to see Lars checking in, I hope you are back on your feet.
I have this neat little program, Jing that lets me take a picture of whatever is on my screen and instantly sends it to a webpage so I can post it as a picture, like this:
Just getting back to the Forum myself and saw this thread. Great to hear you're doing so well after the surgery. I too am still driving with the carb you tuned for my 75 and haven't had to touch it. It's still running perfect. I hope you continue to get better and maybe even start your tuning tours again.
i must have missed this thread, i sure wish Lars all the best. he is a carb genius!!! i've read his carb papers on another web site and learned alot. i tuned my old holley per his instructions and it ran great!!!!! i just got a 670 street avenger and am having problems with it and need to go thru it.
hope you get back to your old self Lars. and come to the DFW area soon!!!!

I think he has a paper out specifically dealing with the Street Avengers. Shoot him an e-mail and ask him for a copy.

Lars i am glad you are feeling better i wish for you a speedy recovery....why not scan the dyno chart to make it a .jpg file and then save it on photo bucket and import the picture. if you dont have a photobucket account just send it to me and i will send you the image link. take care Bob
Get well Lars! I had lower back surgery 2 years ago so I feel your pain, literally. Same reason too - relieving a pinched siatic nerve. They put all kinds of neat titanium hardware in my spine so now when I go through an airport metal detector it always makes for an interesting afternoon. That type of surgery really takes a long time to heal, but worth it in the end (hopefully).
Glad you're doing better Lars. Haven't checked in for a while. I terribly miss your post here. I've tried following you on the other forums but I dont like their format as much. On a side note, do be very careful with pain medication. Many friends I know have become addicted. God bless you.

Let's see...just a few of the things that Lars has helped me with from 2000 miles away..
Setting up the choke on my Q-Jet
Fuel bowl issues with my Q-jet
Inital timing settings
Finding the correct vacuum can for my distributor and engine set up
Not to mention the numerous posts I've been able to get information from.
Lars, thank you and I'm sincerly glad to hear you're doing well. Next time I'm in CO, I'd like to meet and buy you a beer or two sir!!
