Any of you ordered lifts from American Automotive Equipment? I'm beginning to wonder if they exist. I placed an order 2 months ago for a 2 post lift, and they have my money. I have been promised 3 delivery dates so far, none met. Lift was supposed to be delivered today, and when calling to inquire, maybe ship next Wednesday.
Anybody have a lift from them? Thanks for letting me vent.

I haven't dealt with them but that is why I went with a local company for my lift. If you have issues after delivery you will probably experience the same level of service you are getting now. Good luck.
Here is a few Photos of our Atlass lift. It works flawlessly. Not a single problem and would highly recommend to anyone. Bought from Greg Smith in Indianapolis
This is a12,000 lb extra wide, extral tall lift. I have the wheel lift also for winter storage. With the savings. I bought a hydrolic transmission jack, new 5k floor jack, and atall support stand. Oh, yea, a very nice oil drain with air dump. Why did I go so long with out a lift??
Anyway 16 7/8" concrete mounting bolts, into 8" of reinforced 4,500 psi concrete. Not a single crack anywhere in my shop floor, and that is 3 differant bays. Al
Greg Smith offered to upgrade me to a bigger lift (at the same price) since they were getting short on the one I ordered. But since I am already going into the attic with my upper supports, a bigger unit was not attractive to me. Their Phoenix office had a guy driving in from Mexico to pick up their last two units (one of which I ordered), and wanted to accomodate him. The salesman said my unit would go out and he would offer the Mexican an upgrade. I was impressed with their service.
If you paid for that lift with a credit card, you can call the 'customer service' number on the back of the card; call them and ask what your options are. They will contact the vendor and work with them for a suitable delivery....or tell them the money will be recovered and the deal cancelled.
If you paid by check or money order, you are on your own. In these cases, the "squeaky wheel gets the grease". In other words, the customers that make the biggest 'stink' are the ones who get serviced first. So, be "civil", but don't play it "nice". Get a little nasty, if they can't commit to a reasonable and specific time your lift will be delivered. This may just be a situation where they can't find a delivery service in your area for the price they want to pay. Start playing 'hardball' and see what happens.
I cancelled order with AAE on Thursday. They promised to credit to my CC, but boss is in China until Tuesday. I don't anticipate any problems, but I did call my CC and explained issue to them, just to get notice into their computer before complaint time frames expire.
Reminds me of the situation I had with T&L Engines. I was lucky and got one of the last engines out of them before bankruptcy.
Sounds like you did the right thing cancelling Ralph, as seems like a lot of these lift places are now going bust. I've been using a four poster from Superlifts.com for years. And while once a relible outfit, heard they just recently went bust too, leaving many unhappy customers here on the forum. Nice products though, and looking through the original paperwork, are actually re-labled Gemini Auto Lifts, built in TX. Believe Gemini's still going strong though, and maybe worth giving them a call. All US built product in their TX factory. 800-535-6932
I have two of their XML 4 post lifts for over a year now. Absolutely no problems. Best product for the money. They work as well as the rotary lifts I used as a GM/ASE certified tech and a heck of a lot cheaper. Corvettes, firebirds, trucks, jeeps-nothing I have thrown at them has made me regret buying them.
