the rod looks fine.. but the pot metal section that is broke off pretty much keeps you from being able to repair.

I ordered the door handle spring from Ecklers. I think that it will need to be bent to shape, but it will work!!

If the spring below is the one you bought it's not the same spring, since the one in this thread isn't sold anymore. The one in the image below fits through the thin rod where the door handle lid rests on. The spring in this thread applies tension on the lever that fits inside the door handle itself.

Mate, since I've restored the 74 convertible, I've got heaps of door parts from the 75 and 76 bodies I used as donor cars, including handles. If you need anything, send me a PM. NZ's a bit closer than the USA!

That's a great offer, but I've already ordered a pair from Willcox. Brand new, they should last as long as I own the car.

I'll keep you in mind if I need any other parts, though. Perhaps you could make a rough list of what you have and the approx. amount you want for them.
