Misfiring HEI module?
My car has been running great. Rebuilt the carb recently, all new wires, plugs, cap and rotor last year. Driving today the car seemed to misfire on the highway and then later on the exit ramp. Got to work, car idles fine. Reved it to 3000 and kept it there - running smooth. So, only things I did not replace were the coil and module last year. I am going to check all wires etc. tomorrow but I have never had a module go bad. Is this a possible symptom? Thanks in advance.

In my experience modules either work or they don't. There's no inbetween.
Double check the plugwires. Did you push all of them on completely? Routed so they do not touch exhaust manifold/headers? Plugs gapped correctly?
If that checks out, time to inspect cap/rotor. If all that is ok, replace the coil.
