17" Halibrand Sprints
I've been searching lately for this type of wheel. I've found US Mag Indy, Ansen (American Racing) Sprint, and of course the original Halibrands. Halibrands website even lists them available as a 17", but can't find them for sale anywhere.
Any body know of where to buy them or even something that looks like that in an all aluminum 17"?
I really like the Cragar Street Pro's, but they are only alum centers steel outers and almost 50 lbs per wheel!

I've looked at their website too and I've never been able to quite figure out what they're still selling. I've always liked their original kidney bean wheel. Look at pics of racing cars back in the 50s and 60s, and you'll see them everywhere.
Not what you're looking for, but I've always thought the AR Salt Flat wheel was really good looking....in a vintage sort of way. The mesh wheel guys would never like them.

I saw the Billet Specialties, they actually make an almost exact match, both the Legacy and the Dragster are close, but hard to find places that sell them and are over $500 per wheel. For that price they better be the exact fit and last wheel I ever buy.....
Not to mention that if you want the knock off center caps I'm after, just the center caps are $250 a pair!
The grey AR Salt Flats are actually my current backup idea if I can't find the others for less than a winning lottery ticket.
If I have to spend that much on wheels I'll wait till I have the back end done and stuff as much tire and wheel as I can back there.
The Cobra wheels tend to have way less backspace than we need.

I'd give almost anything for 17" Convo Pros...if they made them. Love the old school look and the fluting.

Take a look at http://psvintagewheels.com/products.html The nice thing is you can specify your offset. I went for his
Minilite replicas or as he calls it the 17" T/A - II Wheel. The GT-40 rim looks like a Halibrand.
