Brake troubles
I have a 79 vette and I just put on a master cylinder and a power booster.
But in the span of 2 weeks I have had 2 put another power booster on (I assumed the first one was bad) and that fixed it for about a week. Now the power brakes r out again. Has anyone else had a problem with power boosters, or any idea what could be causing them 2 go out?

The "power brakes are out again" is too vague for us to offer any real help. Please describe the symptoms. Pedal going to the floor? Has brakes but very hard to push and car doesn't want to stop? etc.

hope you have your old M Cyl.
too often the replacement MC has a wrong
piston in the rear.
the depth of rod push hole and actual length of piston
reeks havoc.
As far as the booster, does it leak vacuum?

I recently had an issue with a power brake booster that I had rebuilt ( very hard pedal)...only to find is that is was the check valve in the booster that was bad. Once I replaced it...power brakes were back "online".
