i had a 454 engine rebuilt by bob's speed shop in fort lauderdale for a 72 coupe project i finished a while back. it ran ok, but was too rich. i scored an unmolested q jet off the bay and rebuilt it according to lars' recommendations. i hadn't driven the car much since the carb job, but today i took it out. now, i know it's got 3:70 gears and a wide ratio 4 speed, but-when i nail it in first at about 20 mph it just spins the tires. i know it's only got stock width tires, but it impressed me! thank you bob and lars!!

My vette was eating treads in first and second gear start with 4.11 rear so i went and purchased street slicks.
Thanks. That's what is in the car now
I'm thinking of going with a centerforce dual friction but was wondering if I should go up to the centerforce DFX clutch set up?
