I'll tell you, for an oval-type muffler, the internal design of the Cherry Bomb Vortex mufflers are really a neat design. Similar to something I've pondered building years ago, but I've never gotten into the oval muffler manufacturing. Sound clips I've heard of these sound really good too, & I know they flow well.
I have tried a few different mufflers out on my different vehicles over the years and I like the 50 series delta flow flowmaster. 40 series are really loud!
I run Dynomax on my hot rod LT-1. On the wife's 70 LT-1 we have Chevy RPO N-11 "off road" mufflers. The Dynomax are a little louder in all cases. The N-11 mufflers are perfect for a mild stocker or HP Vette.
I have Dynomax VTs. They have a spring loaded baffle that is closed at low flow and opens under heavy load. I like them, there is no drone at all. Quiet at cruise, low restriction & more sound when you step on it.
Swapped the sidepipes for Ultraflows 12 yrs ago and still pleased. I think the Ultraflows and Magnaflows are pretty close to each other both performance and sound wise.

There's a huge difference between the Delta Flow series and the regular 40 and 50 series. I think Flowmaster has done a terrible job with marketing these. I have the Delta Flow 40 series on my 71 and love them. Best sounding car I've ever had.
