Default 69 key buzzer problems

I have a tilt tele column installed by the PO and the buzzer stays on when the key is removed, with the door open. When the door is shut the buzzer stops. In other words the buzzer goes off when the driver door is open, whether the key is in or not. Any ideas?

This switch could be bad.

And this buzzing noise is coming from the horn relay/key warning buzzer that should be mounted on the inner fender skirt on the drivers side right in front of the master cylinder....right????

If it is...then it is the key warning buzzer. Then disconnect the turn signal switch connector at the base/underside of the steering column and see if the noise stops. Because if it does not...you may have that specific wire grounded within your wiring harness that goes to the horn relay and it not being the switch that Pete showed you.

If the noise does stop...than it is internal issues in the column....and the switch that Pete showed you is highly suspect....or possible turn signal switch defects.

Yes that's the location....any possibility a wire was left disconnected when the PO did the column switch?

Turn signals work good.... Does that rule them out being the problem?

Also the car has a new front wiring harness ... Maybe something not connected correctly there?
