Hi Scott,
I'm really only familiar with the puck type mount, but looking at the parts catalogues I have, it appears the rubber mounts use a much longer bolt.
Since there are 2 rubber discs for each mount.... do you have them installed properly? The 2 are never placed right together regardless of what mount they're on.
The #1 and #2 mount details I see in ZIP'S newest catalogue show that it's critical just where the cushions are placed on the frame and birdcage.
Can you find that diagram on line?
Regards,
Alan

I used the poly bushings on my 77 last winter. They will not compress as much as rubber. If I remember correctly the thinner of the 2 go in between the frame and the body on 2&3 and the fatter on 1&4. This forum had some good pics of the poly bushing placement but I cant seem to remember were I found the pics. I'm guessing you have your 2 & 3 mounts backwards.

Guys,

Got home and poked at the car today. I loosened everything and lifted the core support and shimmed the #1 mount up 3/16". That pulled the rear down and bit, maybe 1/4" or more. So if you look at this picture I feel like the only way to make this better is to cut the #3 bushing down 3/16" which should net me another 1/2" at #4. Which should be in the ball park.

Thanks for following this.
Scott

Hi Scott,
Is that the #3 mount in your last picture?
I don't understand how the picture was taken (from where?) for the mount to look like that?
Have you broken through the fiberglass below the #3 access panel?
It appears to me the thickness of that cushion is the cause of your problem at #4.
IF you cut down that cushion to say 3/16", shouldn't you do the same thing at #2 in order for the body to be able to drop at #4? If you don't cut #2 also, IT will now be the high point, and the body will want to pivot at #2.
Regards,
Alan
