Default question on washer resivor

Got a question, as a 1973 washer bottle extension tube is not available on any of the corvette parts suppliers.

First question is on a 1975 is the washer bottle located on the drivers side like the 73?

If the answer in no to above question no need to answer this question.

Are the inner fenders the same for the both 73 and 75? If so all the parts for the 75 bottle are available. When looking at the parts catalog the 75 uses a mounting plate that the 73 does not.

What are your thoughts on switching the bottle to a 75? This is a modified vette so I just want to make sure it fits correctly and appears like it belongs..

Thanks

Tim

http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corve...1971-1974.html

http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corve...1979early.html

The same bottle was used from 1971 till 1974 and the 1975 bottle will fit from 1975 till 1979

While they may sit on the same side of the car they take different mounting brackets

If you are installing a 1975 Front end on a 1973 then yes it will fit and mount up to the newer front end clip.

Hope this answers your question and I provide the part number for you for a 1973 and 1975.

Hi Tim,
Have you considered this?
If you use a 69 bottle, ($12), and bracket, ($9), it uses no neck so you can mount the bottle on the apron where you want it.
For 69 the supply hose to the pump is long so no neck was needed. The bottle is harder to fill, but the rest is simple and in-expensive.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan

Hi Allan,

Thanks for your response, I read somewhere last night on one of the other forums that the 75 extension will work on a 73 that there was a little difference but it will fit leaving the bottle in its original position. If I end up moving the upper extension brace that will be ok.

I did order the extension last night so I'm going to wait and see when it arrives this week before I make a decision on the next stem.

Your solution is less expensive then the extension at 21.00 + shipping

I just finished painting the engine bay and really do not want to go back and fill in un needed holes.

Thanks,

Tim
