I am flying out to Detroit on Tuesday to look over a 72 LT1 Vert for a very good friend of mine. The car is at ProTeam Corvettes. The car is a low milage LT1 that is well represented. . I have always heard good things about them, has anybody had any dealings with them?
Just a bit of info, my 72 LT1 engine was built 15 days after this engine, but my car was built 3390 cars prior to this one............
Make of that what you will............and my pad looks nothing like the Proteam pad.
Also, just sifting through Mecum auctions and I believe this car sold in sept 2013 in Dallas, $48,000.
Hi MikeW,
I noticed in your picture that it appears the water pump was mounted in place when the engine block was 'broached' and received some 'broach marks' too....is that typical????
Regards,
Alan

I do not believe that is typical. I had an all original 72 LT1 with a/c for about 20 years and mine did not look like that. I will see if I can dig up some pictures.

Actually- that was a picture of a pad from A DIFFERENT car that Proteam is selling. I've deleted the post. My apologies.
Here's the pad from the LT! convertible that they're selling.
