Pictures tell all, I think. The yokes are not hardened.
I only drive on street tires. Car has never been on slicks.
A quality vendor would have responded to me and made it right...
... got any pics of the spindles twisted in half? I put 525 HP and 6800RPM shifts to mine daily for 5 years now, and have never had any issue.. Several of the people I know with Edwards Eaton and Dana Differentials have Big Blocks , one even has a Blower.. never twisted a spindle .. There must be a reason
I find it a little hard to believe you twisted 2 spindles and 2 yokes .. how much HP do you have? and considering as many people I personally know have bought parts from them.. If it was a defective strut bushing, that's not something they build. But if this is true, they should have replaced it if it happened within a reasonable time. Sorry if you had a problem, but I know plenty satisfied customers of theirs, me for one
No reason to doubt it. I have seen the parts myself. When the snap ring comes off it is most times flung to the front of the pinion and stays there. The original GM parts fail in the later C3s due to lack of case hardening. Yes the metal filings embed themselves into the bearings and races. Got some out back if anyone wants to see them. mike...

Maybe they switched suppliers, dunno. I just know good vendors take care of stuff like this, don't just ignore it. If I hadn't caught it in time the spindle would have snapped and I would probably have wrecked the car.

... Duntov been in business for decades.. I checked, Their stub axles/yokes are GM part number GM # 3872922,,unless you order the super duty ones. Those are Drop Forged. They don't break. I ve seen them take over 700 HP . if it failed, its a GM part that failed. And they warrenty their stuff for 3 yrs.. I don t understand why you had a problem with them not making it good
