You write like you're from china with your poor english. Wore or were? Wood or would? they or there?

I have yet to see proof of where they are made. Just because they're from the U.K. doesn't mean they are not chinese. The stainless steel pipes could be made in china and possibly built into headers somewhere else. There's really no telling unless there are labels or statements claimed on XS' s website.

Does anyone know what grade stainless steel the hookers are made from? I couldn't find anything on their site either.

Chambered, 304 is used extensively on aircraft as well. It kills me when companies use this line in order to sell higher grade metals. I have 20 years aircraft machining/welding/metallurgical experience. 321 and 304 is very similar. They are both Austenitic SS. The difference is 321 has titanium. Titanium is desirable for higher temperature ranges. Titanium also reduces the carbide precipitation, which I suspect is what is happening in the 304 SS side exhaust.

Jim, don't die over it. All I said is 321 is a higher more expensive grade of SS, & it is commonly referred to as "aircraft grade." What tees me off is when companies here spec out 304 grade stainless & have a Chinee manufacturer build stuff for them, & then they don't check out the products after the Chinee start shipping product in. They then distribute their product with their name on it even though they had no hand in producing it, & then refuse to correct the problem or stand behind the product! I receive about 3-4 communications every week from Chinee companies that want to build my mufflers for me to SAVE ME MONEY! Oh they all make such wonderful product, yada, yada, yada. When I respond to a few of them just to amuse myself, I basically tell them to go pound sand. Just what the USA & Canada need - more manufacturers selling out to our enemies!

I wasn't calling you out. I was merely stating how companies promote thier metals. But I do see your point.

Hey ,

I bought off e bay a set of BB stainless headers and pipes, XS power.
I've had them on for over a year, no rust, fitted well. Reverse flow inserts that came with them were very restrictive and a PITA to remove. Hours with a carbide bit and all good. As our gas is crap here, I run a mix of leaded race gas, which corrodes mild steel they have been great !
