Replacing the vacuum hoses on my 72 and found the PCV hose connected to the vacuum reservoir. Is this correct or should it be connected to the evap canister or somewhere else?
From: At my Bar drinking and wrenching in Lafayette Colorado
The PCV hose goes directly from the PCV, located in the driver's side valve cover, to the front, center 3/8" vacuum port on the carb. Make sure the passenger side valve cover has a breather installed or has the stock tube that runs up to the air cleaner housing.
Interesting. I have the same condition on my 72 LT-1. The A.I.M. and Paragon Corvette catalogue both show no branch off to the vac canister. Wonder what the intent of this would be.
The '71 and '72 SB cars had the PCV valve output tied to the vapor canister output via a "T" at the valve outlet. Then the hose runs to the front carb baseplate fitting (inlet for 'waste' vapor/fumes going to be burned with the fuel charge).
Are you certain that the 'other' line is coming from the vacuum reservoir? ....not the fuel vapor canister (stuffed in the lower bowels of the left front fender)?

Yes. I am assuming that the reservoir is the square shaped metal can next to the brake booster with three ports facing toward the firewall.
Hi 7D2,
I believe you'll find the nipples on the lid of the charcoal canister are marked to indicate which hose goes where.
Note 3 different size hoses.
Look at UPC 8, Sheet B11, for the hose routing, and which hoses need clamps.

Alan
This is from a 71 car… may likely be the same on your 72.
