68 lower rocker panel colour
curious as to what the "correct" color would be for the lower portion of the rocker panel would be? I ordered new panels, as my car came with incorrect (70-77) panels. The new panels came "plain-Jane" un-painted. Before getting them painted I want to make sure I get the color/gloss correct (ie. satin-black?).

I may be wrong, but I thought they were molded in black fiberglass (or plastic), and left the color that way. I've had a few used ones over the years, and I don't ever remember any of them being painted?

Satin black, semi-flat black, and trim black all have the same sheen. But, because of durability, my choice would be John Deere "Blitz" black. You can get a big spray can for $10 at any John Deere store and at some garden supply shops.
