'72 350 manual; I have installed Hooker Header 2451HKR. The inboard pivot arm (block side) installation figure D shows a mod on the arm to bend straight for clearance. The arm I pulled out is straight but appears to need to be modified / bent to fit. Before I mod the arm to bend to fit is the illustration wrong? Anyone else see this, or does my vision need checking?
On another note, after pulling the heat shield on the right side I still needed to mod the upper side of the 3 bolt flange to clear the floor board; the manufacturing fixture probably needs to be checked. I installed a heat blanket also.
Thanks,
John

Any header installation, and in particular Hooker, requires bending, smashing, hammering, and cutting to fit as required. Throw away the instructions and just do what it takes to get it to fit. A big ball peen hammer, a come-along, and a hydraulic jack are good tools to compliment your Hooker headers. After using the above referenced tools, a box of Band-Aids and a bottle of Jack Daniels, the headers will fit just fine.
