Zach, that's a great car you've created for yourself. You should be really proud of your work. I particularly like the areas you've customized, like the headlights, black bumpers, and matte silver paint.

Very nice job, especially considering your age. Not a fan of LED lights, but I like everything else.

I forwarded this link to a friend who's grandson was on the wrong path and younger than you.you have motivated both of them to restore his grandfather's plymouth GTX.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK all I can say is wow?
You need a larger air cleaner as it won't flow enough air.
And what type of carbon fiber material did you use I assume it's a vinyl.:t humbs:

I admire guys who are willing to get their hands dirty on a project. Nice job.

Did I miss, or do you have any pictures of the rear diffuser area?

Thanks! I used a gold rustolem spray paint with a fuel resistant clear coat to get it the gold color. Its been a tradition in my family to paint carbs gold haha so i figured i would too.

It means a lot that i am able to inspire somebody. A lot of people told me i couldn't do it. They mocked me at car shows when i told older guys i was building a similar car haha. Man it felt good rumbling by them at my first show.

Anyway this project proved to me that if you put your mind to something, you can do anything. Hard work pays off. I wasn't an autobody guy, but i learned everything there was to know about body work and i practiced for hours before i got it right.

If you have that drive and motivation, anything is possible.

This project kept me out of trouble. All my friends were out partying and drinking, but i would rather be in the garage. The only high i got was off fiberglass fumes. haha. your friends grandson will find that love for that gtx and if he gets motivated im sure he will impress himself.

Id love to see the car when its done

btw: the carbon fiber is a 3m vinyl wrap

Thankyou! I hope to post a thread about that soon. what i did was fiberglass the rear exhaust cut outs closed and made the valence one with the body. then i cut out fins and bolted them to the body. they came out exactly how i wanted them too. I can get more detailed if you'd like to know exactly how i did it

The first pic is the inside of the valence. The wood lines are pieces of balsa wood that i glued to make a backing to bridge the fiberglass layers across the cut out. after the layers built up and i sanded them smooth, i just sanded away the balsa wood. I used about 8 layers of fiberglass to fill the cut out the same thickness of the original fiberglass
