Default Point me in the direction to a list of nuts and bolts!

I have searched a few things but even places who sell the parts will lable them as "aarm bolt" i am looking to replace most bolts and other than sizing each one i thought id try seeing if someone here has already done that for me . Please do not start on why i want to do this haha. Just lookinn for a list for chassis components.

It may be easier to buy a kit from a Vette vendor because much of the hardware is kinda unique.

I get you are looking for generic parts, like from HD?

I also would like to know as I don't want to pay $20.00 to ship a few screws.......

It seems the bold/screw sizes are a well guarded secret.

I did buy an interior package of screws via eBay. The armrest screws were not the right size, but got a $6.00 refund from the seller.

Paragon Corvettes is a good place to start. They list the fastners, by using the AIM as the reference guide. There fastners have head marks like the original fastners.

Because there aren't that many standard bolts on a vette chassis. And most of the lengths end in an 1/8.
What bolts are you looking for?

The few bolts that I did get locally were all in 1/4" increments and every 'vette bolt was 1/8". Depending on the location/application, had to round up or down an 1/8.

Most fastener sizes are not listed in the AIMs; only GM part numbers.

The GM Corvette Parts and Illustrations Catalogue lists most fastener sizes. These can be pricey, but nice to have. You can get hard copy paper or CD versions.

Hi,
My experience has been that many of the fasteners used on the chassis and running gear have specific "configurations" for the location used and strength required.
This includes unusual lengths, unthreaded portions of the shaft, head configuration, tip configuration, unusual washers, and unusual nuts.
Also some bolts and studs are drilled for cotter pins which require slotted nuts.
There are vendors and sites like MSCDIRECT which can be a source for more accurate configurations than the bolts/nuts generally available at the hardware store.
It takes a bit of effort but a good selection of fasteners is available to us.
Regards,
Alan
