Removing headlight buckets

Default Removing headlight buckets
Im currently prepping my 71 coupe for paint and wont be able to "gap" the headlight buckets without installing removing the buckets several times. I've never had the buckets out, it looks a little time consuming....is there a thread or can you guys help me with this process?

FWIW: have you considered painting the car with the headlights in place?

My intention is to take my Vette to gelcoat and then take it to the paint shop. I can't really gap the openings with the buckets in place.
