Several years ago I installed an O2 sensor into my gutted heat riser block so I could check my air/fuel ratio at various loads and speeds. I found its showing .700 volts at light-throttle cruising speeds running #70 jets and .900 volts running #72 jets (454" with a #3310 Holley).
How many of you have installed an O2 sensor as a diagnostic tool?
Sounds like you're running a narrowband - there are plenty of people on here who use WBO2 to tune - this lets you get spot on when you're setting your target outside of stoich. I used WB to tune the ECM on my truck and the Q-Jet on my 78, as well as the Q-Jet on a friend's 70 496 'vette.
700mV is pretty good for cruise, though.

Reading thread's you tell that plenty of people use them.
I have one as a semi-permanent install beside a vacuum gauge and a mechanical oil pressure gauge. I can remove them or swap them for fuel pressure, voltmeter, ammeter, etc as necessary.
These 3 have been in place for over a year though.
Found that what I thought was over rich-idle, was actually over-lean, and corrected a slightly lean cruise condition that I wasn't aware of. So glad I bought it.
