The last time I had the car aligned, the tech said he did not put in the specified toe in becauese it is not needed with radial tires. I'm running 255/60 R 15s. How much toe in should I have?

What year car is it, did it come with radials? Toe in/out is an adjustment needed to prevent premature tire wear.
Front or rear? In the front you can reduce toe-in to close to zero with no problems. It becomes more eager to take a turn. Reduce it too much and it will wander on the highway.
Rear needs quite a bit of toe-in due to the suspension design. It toes out in compression, so you need static toe-in to compensate (you never want toe-out in the rear, car becomes unstable).

I run about 1/8" but I have read up to 1/4" is okay.
