Default washer hose?

Could someone please identify this hose. I'm pretty sure it goes to washer pump but where do I stick it on the passengers side?

A year would be helpful. Is your washer pump missing a hose?

Sorry car is 79. I'm not sure where the pump is located. The end shown in the picture is no the pass. side. I'm thinking it should attach to the water supply but this hose is really small. Thx.

Hi m r,
For 75 thru 82 cars the washer pump is mounted to the bottom of the washer bottle. I believe the bottle is mounted to the rear of the fender apron on the driver's side.
Is the OTHER end of this hose mounted to that pump on the bottle?
The water 'supply hose' IS the diameter shown in your picture.
If this hose is intended to be on the passenger side it's likely that it should be connected to the wiper arm on that side.
A picture showing the general area at the base of the wiper arm may help clarify where this hose is intended to connect.
Regards,
Alan

Alan thanks for your reply. There is a hose connected to the wiper on that side already. I will try again to follow this LOOSE hose to its origin and get back.

Alan I have put paint dabs on hose. it comes from fire wall and ends where you see it. It must go to the water source. I guess I am missing part of the hose?????

Hi m r,
The picture helps a lot.
BUT!!!!! I'm just not familiar enough with later cars to be of any help to you.
I see what you mean about the small diameter of the 'tube' as it exits the firewall.
I'm thinking it's a vacuum line that has something to do with a/c control….. but I JUST DON'T KNOW.
At least this will get you to the top again for some new looks!
Sorry!
Regards,
Alan

Nice clean looking engine bay in that picture!!!!

I'm pretty sure that's the vac line that operates the vents. That would go to a vac source attached to the vacuum reserve source. So the vents will still work a little with the car off.

Still not sure from your pictures.

In my '79 there are three tiny vacuum lines that go through a grommet in the firewall in that general location.

One comes from the vacuum source near the power brake booster.

Another leads to the hot water cut-off valve on the passenger side near the A/C accumulator.

The last one loops up and back through the wiper well and then down into the passenger side fender where it connects to the outside air valve.
