The rivets on the outside are 1/4 inch measured across the face of the rivet. .On the inside they are 9/16. Hope this is what you where looking for. Sorry my camera is not so good for close ups.

Dub had posted about it in response to my question to you.
I'll post the picture here too. This is a 69 with what I believe is an untouched rivet
Does this look anything like your rivets?… not on the inside, but outside on the steel strap.
