Default drain hoses for astro ventilation.

I have a 72 coupe. I need the two hoses that attach to the astro ventilation pan under the rear window that run out over the rear tires. they look like they would just slide on. whats a good hose to use? the inside diameater of the hose ,if I measured correctly needs to be 1 3/8
thanks peter

Hi Peter,
It sounds like you're planning to replace the hoses with something you find locally.
You may very well be able to make that work, however the original hoses were 'flanged' on the one end that drains into the wheel well and that 'flange' is what formed the seal with the fiberglass wheel well. The hose is inserted through the round hole in the wheel well from the wheel swell into the interior. There's a drain plate and 3 rivets that hold it in place.
So are you trying to repair what you have, rig up something that'll work in place of the originals, or replace what you have with something like the originals?
Regards,
Alan

Hi Peter,
Try Paragon Reproductions part #3897, for a coupe.
Astro Ventilation Plenum Drain Hose Kit.
The shields that go in the wheel well and fasteners are available too.
Of course as usual….not exactly cheap!
Regards,
Alan
