Thanks for that link. My camber is fine. I did have some wheel bearing issues. They weren't bad but they were loose and the end play needed adjustment. Of course I threw new bearings in when I did them.
Anyway, the driveshaft fixed the problem. It's gone in the lower MPH even under acceleration. I haven't driven it over 90 MPH yet but up to 80 it's smooth as glass. I'm so relieved. It's a nice piece too, frank at the driveshaft shop is the man. I got exactly what I wanted and then some. He quoted me for a steel driveshaft but when it showed up it was carbon fibre. The guy went the extra mile for me, I highly recommend these guys. If you're doing a TKO swap don't waste your time with anyone else, just get it for piece of mind.

Just drove it up to about 110 and it's vibration free. I love the five speed, I can't believe I was driving it at 70 mph turning 3k with the four speed. At 70 in fifth it's running 2k now. It's a totally different car. Love it!! I'm so glad I did it.
I was worried when people started to tell me I had to lower the motor or cut the tunnel right out of it, twist the rear end around..ect. One guy told me to take the tranny out and put the four speed back in it. "It's the wrong tranny for that car, it won't work." He says......lol. Thank you frank, and that's all I have to say about that.

I have been on this post. I'm considering having one made for mine. where did you have it made befor I put the body back on.
Great to hear it's resolved. I'm hoping I won't have similar issues when I get my car back on the road with my new tko600... But at least I'll know that a driveshaft change should sort it if needed.

Can you post a picture of the finished product. I would like to see what is different with this unit vs stock driveshaft.
I got the driveshaft at driveshaftshop.com
They were great to deal with, really good customer service.
There's a pic of it on the third page, it's significantly different than a stocker.

Considering the TKO 5speed. Car is currently under resto and body is off... I'm guessing for the angle measurements, etc to be accurate that the body has to be on the frame?
It shouldn't matter if all the mounts are solid. The rear-end center section should not move with the body mounted. Nor should the engine or trans move. just make sure you take into account if you are measuring any angles off of the floor that the frame will not be at the same angle to the floor without the body on and all the weight on the suspension.
I know this thread is 4 years old but I had a TKO500 installed. I’m feeling vibration at higher rpm’s and when I accelerate going up hill. I’ve noticed the driveline slightly rubbing the tunnel. Do I need to have the bell housing shimmed or do I need to look somewhere else? I can’t get underneath the car to measure the angles but the mechanic said it was within spec. Below is a photo. It is hitting only one side. I noticed this when I took it to the muffler shop but the transmission was resting on the muffler at that time until they changed the exhaust angle. I’m going to paint it and drive it to see if this is the cause of the vibration. I can feel the vibration in the seat and not necessarily the shifter.
I know this is reviving an old threads but I wanted to do this to kind of "close the loop" on a vibration problem I chased for YEARS with my TKO600 installation in my '67 Convertible. I installed the transmission at the same time as I installed a ZZ454 in 2009. I had a high speed vibration that I chased for a long time and finally decided it was just the way it was so I mostly forgot about it. At one point, I thought it was the Z bar not having enough end play and transmitting engine vibration to the frame and into the car. I machined the Z bar sockets to increase the clearance but the vibration persisted. I had driven the car on the Power Tour in 2012 and remember how irritating it was for that trip but I lived with it. A few weeks ago, I took the car to a show about 70 miles away and on the way, I was reminded of the vibration. At 65 to 70 it was quite irritating. After that show, I decided I was going to fix it once and for all.
I first checked the U joint angles at both the tranny and the differential. This car uses the "W" system and there really isn't anything you can do about that. In fact, my differential was so high that under hard acceleration, the rear U joint would touch the body. After shimming the tranny UP as much as possible and the differetial nose DOWN, I had about 2 degrees on one end and 1.5 degrees on the other. That was as close as I could get it. I pulled the driveshaft and took it to a local place that balances driveshafts and was VERY surprised to have them report that the rear of the shaft was okay but the front was BADLY out of balance. They said NO DOUBT it would vibrate! This shaft came from Keisler when I bought the kit and since it had balance weights on it, I ASSUMED it was balanced... bad decision on my part. Anyway, after their rebalance of the driveshaft, my longstanding vibration is GONE!
The message in this is not to assume all is well with "factory" supplied parts. I assumed the driveshaft was okay and suffered with the vibration for YEARS. Now the car is a pleasure to drive and I'm ready for this year's Power Tour but, I think I'll take my Blackwing this time. I'm older and it's VERY comfortable.
Hope this helps someone else that is chasing a vibration problem in a mid-year Corvette.
