Finally got to crawl under the car and checked the number stamped on the transmission. The trans stamp does match the cars VIN. Still no way to prove the car is numbers matching but I feel good about it!

Hi r,
I place a lot of importance on original engines in cars but I realize a NICE car is still a NICE car even if the pad isn't what I hoped.
The pad won't have any actual effect on the pleasure the car gives you!!!!
