engine harness question

Default engine harness question

what does this go to? I cannot seem to figure it out. Thanks for any help you can give me. It's on a 71 small block no a/c 4 speed car if that helps

Hi p,
Welcome!
The connector you're holding appears to be for the Combined Emission Control solenoid that's mounted on the front right corner of the carburetor.
Your car may or may not still have this solenoid. (All 71 engines had it originally, both Holley and Q-Jet).

Thank you for the help. No wonder I could not find its location cause there isn't one. It has a Holley four barrel now with no plug for this to go to. Problem solved I guess.

Hi p,
I see an aluminum intake, a finned aluminum valve cover, and you add the Holley info… might this 71 have started life as an LT-! ?
That would be nice!
The information on the stamp pad in in front of the driver's side head could hold the answers.

I wish but no it is just a 270 hp convertible with only power steering as an option. I added the aluminum heads and intake. the valve covers were on it when I bought it.
