Hopefully you can see in the pic where I put a new stud on for the throttle cable to attach. The prev. owner had a bubbaized stud and had the throttle and the rod to the cruise control in the wrong places (Swapped positions).
I need to pull the cable out of the bracket a little to get it in alignment with the stud. PROBABLE just a 1/4" or so. The plastic piece holding the cable in the bracket seem too large to slide out or to move at all.
Searched previous threads but could not find answer. Please advice needed.
I'm not much help if you are wanting to stay stock. I eliminated the factory cable and replaced it with a Lokar brand throttle cable and bracket. It solved my problems.
I could do that but I still wouldn't be able to get the cable out of the bracket?????
The throttle cable is retained in the bracket with an expandable plastic clip. Get some pliers and you can pinch the expanded portion of the clip on two sides. Pull forward some then slip backwards out of the bracket.
