With my 1480's and 3.5 inch halfshafts on my 10 bolt, I had to cut out part of the battery box. The halfshafts are also a little shorter with the 1480's I believe. I would assume the same with the 12 bolt. Not sure about the safety loops. I would think with the power you must be putting down and racing, you need the 12 bolt all the way.

A note for the technically oriented people. The stock part is a mild steel with a rockwell hardness of 22 on the c scale. The new part is 4140 with a rockwell hardness of 30 on the c scale.

I believe all 71 to 79 vettes use the 1330 u-joints in the driveshaft on both ends. But I suggest you double check with Tracdogg2 to verify. His knowledge of corvettes far surpasses mine

You're right Dave, they did come out nice. These will fit 68-70 automatics and all 71-79, both ends. Next we need to work on ones for the 1310 guys.

Really nice work Dave.
Will these be available for sale separately?
And what about for those of us going with a 1350 billet yoke on the pinion shaft. Will you have a strap for that also?

Hello Dennis,
Our plan is to cover all bases. If I can dig up a stock part you may see one as soon as monday. Everything on this thread will be available thru Tracdogg2 after lot sizes are determined. Larger lots will effect prices in a positive way. My hope is to provide a top quality part at a fair price.
Thanks to all that have commented,
Dave

David, I have a 1350 tranny yoke for my build I could send you to use if you would like. Going to be a month or so before I will be putting the car back together. Mike is putting the Billet 1350 on the differential as well. Pm me if you would like me to send it to you.

Thanks Bill.
I already have an idea of what I want to do with the cap for your yoke.
I will compare this one to the pinion yoke with Mike and get a couple of parts made.
