I am sold the bird fan will do the same cooling as the mk does, if you dont agree grab a mk fan used off ebay or a junkyard,

But yeah. Ive beaten this dead horse too much,
Im glad you have because Im tired of being paranoid about the temp gauge.

DCControl dot com has a very nice compact USA made controller in various configurations....reasonably priced. Genius electrical engineer owner IMO. PWM control, LED, remote indicator and remote adj. available. Owner very responsive to questions. They have a stellar reputation..... check them out before you buy a plastic controller from the usual sources with bad reputations.

That sucks out loud, sorry to hear that,

Jim,
You are one of very few positive feedbacks ive heard about the company,
Most all agree the product is great but after that customer service sucks horribly, bad feedback all over google,

I am cheap but did want a nice controller just wasnt going to spend all that for true varible,

I did find a very neat controller from dakota digital,
What i like about it is it uses a temp gauge sending unit, it can be set to run 2 speed fans , or dual fans, and uses external relays another feature i like,

But whats really cool you get to set both on and off temps of the two levels,
I like that depth of fine tuning, it sells for about 113.00, so i dont know if i will jump on one but might,

I've been running the Dakota Digital fan controller to run my Mark viii fan in my 66 427 coupe for about a year now. It works great, I use a starter relay and a circuit breaker instead of a normal relay and fuse and this combination has worked flawlessly even with triple digit Dallas heat indices.

I like the whole concept of that controller, which temp sender did you run?
You have a single speed mk fan, what temp stat do you run and what do you have the on off temps set at?

When i do upgrade wiring i almost always use breakers,

Do you mean like a ford starter relay?
I have never tried it but seen posts they were not made for constant on but seems a year of use proves that a myth,

Okay, I use the controller in conjunction with the VHX dash. It uses it's own coolant sender. I think you can use Dakota Digital's sender or your own to make it work.

I have a variable speed mark viii fan but the controller does not have a provision for variable speed so it is at full power when it's on. I have mine set to on at 185 and off at 180.

I also use the option of shutting off the fan at speed, I set it at 50 mph.

The controller also turns the fan on with the A/C clutch and because I use the A/C 2/3 of the year the fan is on a lot.

The relay I used is a 150 amp continuous duty relay with a 300 amp in rush. It is a golf cart relay. I got it from ebay for about $20. Like I said, so far so good with my set up.

Good luck

Is that "F3LH-8K621-AA" ? The glare makes the first couple of digits hard to read.....

if so then that is for 1993 Lincoln Climate Control
F=1990s
3=1993
L=Lincoln
H=Climate Control (1972 and newer)

Pulled my 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII fan to replace the fan motor. Got some part numbers and dimensions while I had it out. Adding to this thread for future cross-reference.
