Default T-top markings

I have my tops off replacing the weatherstripping and saw these numbers. Is there any significant meaning to them?

Job number (183) and manufacturer's stamps. 58 could be an inspector's mark.

183 could pop up in other places on your car, so keep an eye out.

Hi o,
On my 71 the crayon numbers are the last 3 digits of the car's VIN sequence.
It doesn't have the other stamped and written info shown in your photo:
a source?
a date?
a job number?
Regards,
Alan

Alan, your are correct on the 183. That is the last numbers of my vin. I never thought to check that. The under side of the panel appears to say Made in Can. and some other number/letters. Mike, you may be correct on the 58 being Inspector mark. Thanks to both of you. This forum is a great source of knowledge and help.

Attention to details is the sign of a superior mind,
but you guy sure love to discuss minutia.

Next time the tops are off I'll chalk some numbers in there.

Hi,
Where are the roof panels?
When were they painted?
When did they meet the car?
Regards,
Alan
