Hi a,
I'm not sure that the Chassis Service Manual will be much help with diagnostics.
Perhaps it would be better if you posted in more detail what electrical problem the car is experiencing in hope that someone can offer some advice as to what may be causing it.
Regards,
Alan
Added: after reading h4c's post it appears I was wrong and the 80 manual may be some help in trouble shooting your problem.
The Chevrolet Chassis Service Manual has lots of good information in it, including some testing procedures for various components.
But, it does not offer any procedures for isolating a 'battery drain'.
Basically, you need to insert an ammeter between one battery terminal and the cable that should attach to it. Then, remove all the fuses and look to see if you still have the drain. If not, start installing one fuse back at a time until the drain shows up. That circuit is where your problem can be found.
If all the fuses are out and you still have the 'drain', you have a problem in the alternator.
P.S. If you need to have a door open to do the testing, remove any bulbs that are illuminated when the door is opened. And, if you have a self-dimming interior lamp system, you might find the problem with that self-dimming module.

i'm looking for C3 service manual , trying to trouble shot battery drain problem 1980 corvette
By 1979, Chevrolet was publishing a Corvette Shop Manual and an electrical troubleshooting manual. Prior to 1978, Corvette shared page counts with other Chevy brands in what is called the Chassis Service Manual.
So you are looking for a 1980 Corvette Shop Manual! I've seen them on ebay as well as the C3 Parts forum here.
