Default Headlight Manufactureres Script , Tabs

I'm putting new headlights in my 77 and the tabs on the bulb fit into the metal housing / cup . The three tabs have to line up to seat in the cup properly. Problem is when I do this the manufactures name is not horizontal ? Is this a problem . Never noticed this before ? The electrical prongs in the back are no longer perfectly horizontal

Hi B71,
At least in early years there was a particular 'cup' for each location.
They were marked A,B,C, and D.
They each were in a certain location across the front of the car.
Looking at the front of the car, left to right, CB DA.
Could that be part of your problem?
Regards,
Alan

Here are an A & B cup.

no the names should line up .

have a close look on the cups themselves , they are marked A B C D its a tiny stamp on the front of one of the tabs

so when you standing in front of the car looking at it , they will go from left to right C B then the gap then D A

crazy but true

edit : ok there's the pic

When you mean prongs are you talking about the headlight plugs?
If so the three pronged lamps are at the outside position (Low+high beams) and the two pronged lamps are on the inside (High beams only)
