Can you replace the studs on a c3 with the hubs on the car ?

I have done it. Seems that the parking brake shoe has to be removed and drill or enlarge an existing hole to insert the stud through. I replaced a stud last week on the same car, so the shoes and hole were already there so it was quick.

Front is easy, yes. Rear is more fiddly, as above, but can be done. I use a balljoint separator of this style to push the studs in and out to avoid hammering on the studs/bearings or pulling them in.

I answered my own question... I see it is from the FWD world ! Now the search for one made in USA !!

Metalhead TKS who makes that separator ? I've been shade tree DYI for ever & I now must have one of those !!.

I just grabbed the photo off google, but I bought mine from a local parts store. Probably not a lot of help to list where given I'm in Australia! But I'm sure they're available in the US too.
