383 Stroker /525 HP.. 2.75 60R15s built up 700r4 with 2200 stall. .. FULL POWER LAUNCH.. tires were smoking .... I was thrilled it was only the strut that broke, it was a pretty loud SNAP! .. I built this car 9-10 years ago .. Its a brute that keeps on ticking.. .. this is minor stuff.

I believe corvettes were expected to be driven hard occasionally. We have already heard from C C in this thread. And CC and fishguy kept it civil. If i were CC, i would ask for the parts back. Now, Chinese stuff. There have been several recent cases of lead based paint in Chinese toys sold in this country. I am fairly sure the American CEO's are aware it is not legal and hazardous to children. So more than likely required NO LEAD PAINT in their specs. It is possible one worker read specs to another and he heard "NO RED PAINT!" So he made sure they were all painted gleen and brue. It is also possible they don't like us very much and used lead paint deliberately anyway.
