its not.. its from Corvette Central.. I know for sure , I bought it and the tag with part # and logo is still on them .. the opposite side did not break but the bushings are crumbled to dust too like the one in the picture.. very poor quality ... I replaced them with new ones from Ecklers.. MUCH BETTER QUALITY

For rear struts this is what you want for strength and the ultimate camber control:

I have these competition adjustable heim struts and there is NO HARSH ride on the street...NONE! Been on my 78 for about 10 years now

es there is good Chinese quality, you just arent paying for it. If a company buy the cheapest they can , they get crap, and then double the price and pass it along to us. If they would have paid for quality and kept the same price point , they wouldnt be making as much money, and thats what its all about isnt it.... How much they can make off of us, not how good a product they can put on the market. Theres a company called The little machine shop that has equipement made on the same factory floor as Harbor freight, he ust pays mor for the quality he wants so he is on line A, and the cheapo stuff from chicago electric is line Z. Have you noticed that you can buy the exact same ratchet from harbor freight for cheap and a lifetime warranty and the exact same wrench at Lowes is double the price. Everyone is on the China wagon now a days, some just pay to be on line A

The " stock " OEM rods use a cam for wheel alignment adjustment.. in no time at all, they won t adjust far enough to properly align the wheels.. IMO it was a poor design from GM to start with .. they have been replaced by most owners , not trying to keep a #s matching car, with full adjustable struts for years . Much better control of alignment. the OEM also allowed a lot of flex and poor handling. .. and owners have had the "Stock" struts have blown out exactly the same way before as well..

The thing is, American companies go to the Chinese to have their parts made to sell back in America. The American companies supply the specs for the parts. One of the specs is "make cheap" so Americans will buy it. Quality? May not be in the specs but it can be and will cost more.

The transmission in a Ford Mustang is made i China.
Sure there are some, that can make good quality in China, but most can't/dosen 't, because, what people want in the World, are low prices.

As for those specs sent to Chinese factories? You can give those plants all the specs you want, but it all comes down to the workers making the products, and quality control
You get what you pay for. Cheap labor = Poor quality. NO quality control = Poor quality.

Someone I know is high up in a bearing company. According to him it's like Rescue Rogers says, you hold the Chinese factories accountable and pay for high consistency and quality and you will get it. If you only manage them to a price and time they will take every shortcut they can dream up to maximize their profits.
The client has to take the initiative to manage the suppliers, can't just assume the low bid will be as good as the high bid. True here in the states as well.
