all hooked into a McLeod RXT Street Twin Clutch

Then into a TKO-600
Amazing how similar some things are between our builds. I rebuilt all the clutch linkage pivot points a while ago, again by welding and grinding them back to size and lubing everything up, worked well, but might have been nice to go the extra mile. I had my flywheel redrilled last week for the McLeod RXT that I'm about to install in front of my tko600 too...

Edit: I went the 6923-07 instead of the 6921-07, which is why I had to redrill my (steel 168 tooth) flywheel - I wanted the ability to possibly go to a lighter 153 tooth flywheel in the future.

Working on the peddle. Got the pieces cut, will tig the mettle together tomorrow
then grind it all nice and level, then brush sand it to clean it up and make it look
pretty underneath:-)

I’m sure the smoothness is a nice improvement but I personally would value the lack of deflection more. The stock assembly just feels like it wants to go its own direction.

Nicely done!

Excellent work! May I ask if you have part numbers for the bearings and rod used? I am considering tackling this project in a manner similar to you

Thank you.... And I agree with you 100% .... in fact that is why I started the work... The left right deflection was bad... and made her feel, rickety???? just not like a professional race car.. and for the $$$$ in this car, everything should be tight and feel new or better than new. This feels better than new:-)

First of all... Thank you:-)

My middle son, Chris, ordered them.... I specked out what I wanted done and how I wanted it build... then he took it and ran... Danny and Chris, my older and middle sons, do all the welding.. they are way better than I am at mettle fabrication.

The center pin, or rod, was from a plastic injection machine (we own a large plastic injection/mold making company) it was an ejector pin and VERY VERY hard mettle, and highly polished. if you do this I could also get you one of those rods. I will ask Chris what bearing part numbers he used as well if you do this, let me know, and I can get you to Chris so he can tell you any problems he ran past.

Gas peddle done....
That was a bitch... will try and post some pictures tonight...

if you do this, make sure you do an exact measurement of almost everything on the back of the peddle. it uses a spring on the back... and it will not function properly unless built correctly and an exact match.

That's encouraging. If you can do it in 8, I could perhaps do it with my husband's help in 60 - 100 hours - not impossible

I don't suppose you'd be interested in doing another set for....8 hours pay?
