I have a 75 stingray and I feel my ramps run high when I’m on highway. If I’m going 90mph, should my rpms run around 4,500 rpms? I’ve adjusted my rpm screw on the driver side of my carb but I didn’t adjust the one on the right side of the carburetor.
On another note, I’ve got a massive screeching coming out of my speakers when my rpms are running. I have a suppressor connected to my alternator. So I believe, it’s something to do with my wiring. I’ll probably take it somewhere that can deal with that.

Adjusting your idle speed has nothing to do with rpm at cruise speed.
If you have a 3.90:1 rear end and 27-inch tires, your engine will turn 4500 rpm at 90 mph.
