They very honestly told me their sending units would not be correct, either. They make a gizmo to dial back the needle from the back of the gauge but I really do not want to remove that dash panel. I just live with it reading about 20* high.
Jeezzz....
I knew from the forum that the aftermarket sending units were not great so I asked my builder who did the bottom end of the L-82 355 to check the AFR heads and tap them for the OEM sending unit.
BTW-The AFR heads were perfect right out of the box which is what I expected since they are pretty much the best heads and expensive.....There was a lot of paranoia around using heads right out of the box at the time in 2014 since lots of folks were using cheap china aluminum heads with casting problems, cheap valves and springs etc. The AFR's were the bomb and still are......

So my problem could be still the sending unit?!? I measured with IR gun on water pump but maybe the iron is warmed by the engine more then water… how to measure the real water temp?!?
